Thoughts

A friend a mentor a coach. A giant of a man supported by an amazing wife and friend Val. I don’t have the words to describe the huge difference Tony made in the world as the founder and Chair of Youth At Risk and later Grit. Tens of Thousands of people got the opportunity to change their lives because of him and Val. That’s just in his role with Youth at Risk many more roles saw him impacting in politics and the private sector. Thank you.

Dear Val, I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how beautiful Tony’s celebration of Life was. It was so heartfelt, intimate and in such a lovely setting. You have raised wonderful sons that really helped those of us who met Tony later in life get a better picture of who he was. What a life he lived! I was delighted to hear about how your Love story started. I am sure these are incredibly difficult times but we are right here for you if you need anything at all.

"Even if one can't attain full awakening immediately, this experience will be of great value at the moment of death. The body has taken form through the unification of the father's essence and mother's essence, supported by the five elements. At the moment of death these elements dissolve into each other one by one. When the consciousness finally dissolves into space, every being goes through the experience of clear light, the intrinsic nature of the mind. One doesn't recognize it in this life, because one doesn't give oneself the opportunity to experience it. Yet this light is always present. When they die, all beings, without exception, experience it. Unfortunately, if they have not got to know it during the course of their lives, they are afraid —afraid of what is in reality their own light. This is why, in order to avoid this fear, which prevents us attaining enlightenment at the moment of death, it is extremely helpful to start training ourselves now in becoming aware of our inner light."
